Excursion grant
The university representation has two different excursion grants which differ. There is the joint excursion grant, which is distributed by the Rectorate, and the smaller individual grant, which is distributed by the respective student representatives. The excursion grant, which is distributed jointly with the Rectorate, is sent out in November for the following calendar year and distributed by a jury consisting of the Rectorate and the chair team of the ÖH.

Applications for excursions to be funded for the calendar year 2025 can be submitted by the institutes, fields of study and branches of study to the Students‘ Union of the University of Art and Design Linz and the Rectorate in CC until November 17, 2024.
Due to the limited funds and in order to ensure an acceptable amount of individual grants for all applicants, the institutes, fields of study and branches of study are required to coordinate with each other in the case of planned financially correspondingly expensive excursions to non-European countries! A realistic cost calculation is also expected. Offers for flights must be enclosed for trips outside Europe.
Applications for funding must be sent by email to the Student Union (OEH.vorsitz@kunstuni-linz.at) AND to the Rectorate (susanne.dujardin@kunstuni-linz.at) using the application form for an excursion grant. The application must include a realistic rough calculation of the travel costs, the date, duration and number of participants of the planned excursion.
The allocation of financial resources for the respective academic year takes place in a jury meeting with the Students‘ Union and the Rectorate of the University of Art and Design Linz. Staggered awards are possible. All applicants and the student representatives (STV) will be informed of the jury’s decision by email.
Excursion grant STV
Each student can apply for a grant once per academic year for a domestic excursion and once for an excursion abroad from the respective student representatives. The prerequisite is that the excursion is not otherwise funded, e.g. by the excursion grant of the ÖH and the Rectorate. The maximum funding amount is 25 to 30 euros per person for a domestic excursion or 50 euros for an excursion abroad.
As a student, you must contact your departmental representative before an excursion and ask whether a grant would be possible. There is no legal entitlement to a grant. If the student representatives grant the subsidy, everyone must register on the form and during the excursion the lecturer must then confirm your participation by signing this form. Afterwards, the student representatives must collect the form including all current study sheets of the students and bring it to the ÖH office at Hauptplatz 8, 3rd floor H8.03.25. The ÖH’s Department of Economics and Finance will then transfer the grant to the participants.
