The Department of Economics and Finance is responsible for handling all economic matters of the student body of the University of Art and Design Linz.

The task of the Economics and Finance Department is to manage according to the guidelines of the HSG 2014 and the budget guidelines of the Control Commission. The focus here is on the principles of correctness, expediency and easy controllability. Distribution of tuition fees: Each student representative body is allocated a budget per academic year, the amount of which is determined each October (§39HSG).

Student representatives have the opportunity to make purchases for their field of study in consultation with the Department of Economics. A written annual financial statement must be drawn up and a written audit report must be obtained, which is sent in writing to the respective mandataries and the Control Commission after countersignature by the chairperson by the end of December of each year at the latest. (§40 HSG).
