Department for Intersectional Empowerment

The Department for Intersectional Empowerment aims to make structural disadvantages visible and actively work aginst them.

1. We are committed to supporting students from working-class or unemployed households, those who have to finance their studies on their own, as well as students who do care work.
2. We advocate for the needs of students with disabilities, as well as those with mental and chronic illnesses.
3. We support the Fight of those who are affected by racism, sexism, queerphobia, and all other forms of discrimination.
4. As part of the Student Union (ÖH), we offer advisory services for students, raise awareness of university structures, and actively work for your interests. Additionally, we promote the exchange and networking of students.

Our Mission
1. Ongoing engagement with the manifestations and mechanisms of structural discrimination.
2. Identifying and combating classist, racist, sexist, queerphobic, ableist disadvantages, and other forms of discrimination within the University of Arts Linz.
3. Engaging in active exchange with other student representatives to work towards the abolition of classist, racist, sexist, queerphobic, and ableist structures at the local, national, and international levels.
4. Mobilization against forms of fascism.
5. Representation of the interests of all students in university committees, commissions, and working groups.
